I don't know why, but I have the blogging mojo back! A good thing thou. Yes? No?

A new post after 7 months!!! How awesome! I know, thankyou :D

Anyway, things have been going well for me. Met alot of new friends through my part time job. Nah, I'm not doing something big or anything, just working for events, roadshows, modelling during my sem break or whenever I'm free! :)

Working is fun, always fun. Just hate that part when I'm forced to put on heavy makeups. I do not enjoy putting heavy makeups like with thick foundation and lashes on! For me eyeliner, pinkish blusher ready, done and go! But well, I received complaints sometimes saying that I didn't put much makeup. *laughs* Cut that crap for now. Btw, working photos are up on my facebook, just in case some of my readers are not in my facebook friends' list, I will just post up some here. I'm just too nice and ~~free~~.

New Year 2011

Hello everyone! Happy 2011! :)

Been to a few New Year countdowns but this time, something happened to me. The experience was horrendous, terribly frightening. Not only the crowd of party had swelled, the people were so rowdy. Even the spectacular fireworks did not lift up my spirits.

Should have followed plan A - to usher New Year at Hakka restaurant where we'd our New Year's dinner. How I hated the showers of confetti snow and the blaring noise from the mini-vuvuzelas, we'll think of another venue next year for sure - no more Bukit Bintang. Luckily, I'd an awesome companion for the night and that's most important, to usher in the New Year, a new start for both of us, especially for me - I will be starting my new varsity term in early January.
Oh btw, we drove down to Malacca before countdown just to take our lunch. Yay! :P

Had a really great time this xmas, whyyy. Maybe because there's someone special (you know who) joining me for the first time for this celebration. It was his first time in church so I didn't expect him to understand the true meaning of nativity. But the tradition of exchanging gifts truly fascinated him. Awesome of him to buy a gift, wrap it nicely and place it secretly under the xmas tree without anyone's knowledge! I was quite impressed that he actually did that cause I tot he wasn't that smart in surprising. lolol :P

Only realized it after the stroke of midnight when we opened all our presents and one left unclaimed with no name and that's MINE! My first reaction;

Prior to this, actually we just returned from a xmas buffet celebration at my uncle's place. Both of us wore red to match the dress code, red or green. The highlight of the games was - to dress up your partner as a Mummy with toilet rolls. What a waste :( but we had fun! A lot of fun. A very memorable xmas I would say :)

Surprise has its Twist!

No one knows him like I do. But on that day he was different, he behaved rather strangely and I find him abit anxious, receiving so many endless smses just a distance away from me. That's when I started to suspect something was amiss. He drove me to Hakka Restaurant, nothing new. I dined here before and I love Hakka cuisine. Instead of dining outside in the open, in a spectrum of colors from the lights, overlooking the twin towers, he directed me to the dimly-lit, private room. And to my surprise, I was greeted by the gang.

We'd a 10-course dinner, never expected that also. I guess with the look-good atmosphere, feel-good privacy and of course taste-good Hakka food, nobody would complain. Everything was so perfect. Don't know who was the mastermind, but thanks to my dearest one - Jun hoong for paying the bill and I got to keep all the presents. A perfect deal. And not only that, I got what I was looking for all this while, a Canon s95 from Him! A camera that takes good quality pictures almost like a DSLR but it's not bulky. Knowing me, I love to travel light :)

I've deserted my blog far too long. Not that I've to wrack my brains to write nor I've no time to do so, is just that ... I'm just plain too lazy, I admit.

Juggling jobs between studies have not been easy. I'd my fair share of some good events, met some terrific friends and made some good cash $$. Fun, right? But I promise myself I'll cut down on my work, no matter how lucrative the offers are and concentrate more in my studies and have more time to catch up with my old buddies.

Bangkok sept 2010 (I know, NOW only I upload em' on my blog right? What a lazy bum!)

Anyway, these photos are just part of my Bangkok trip. I will upload more in the next post I guess? If I'm not lazy :P

Well, time flies ... It's crazy. I went for a few trips with my loved ones. I went to Bangkok and back, Penang and back... went to UNIQLO on the first day but ended up in Room 18 instead, cuz of the maddening crowd. The terribly frustrating queues were so damn long and never-ending, winding here and there. No regrets I did not queue up. Aha... what I love most was the LUXURY Branded Cosmetics Sales @ Jaya33 which I was happy I did not miss. Alto I still had to queue, it was worthwhile. I pampered myself with 5 items from YSL, haha..all for less than 200 ringgit. That's what I call a good bargain and that's what made my day :)

Alright, I promise to update, in other words I'm trying to say... I'll do whatever it takes to save my blog, so ciao for now! Do come back more often for more updates :D

Our second attempt, to be honest. The first, just two weeks before, after paying the toll tickets TWICE we decided to quit after taking wrong turning.

But today was different. It was sheer pleasure driving 2000 ft up to Colmer Tropicale at Bukit Tinggi. For us, a day here means visiting the rabbit farm to cuddle those cute rabbits and taking a stroll to the Japanese tea-house. Then headed back to the square for some sight-seeing and to take some pics along the cobblestone streets.

Yeaphhs, life has certainly been well, gooood! Simply too good to be true. I even got a new handphone, a E71 nokia, don't ask me why it's a E71 I'd chosen and not a E72. And .... it's black in color! For the first time, I got a phone that is neither red nor pink. So damn classy :)

Anyway, being a Philips Brand Ambassador for the expo was not an easy peasy job but it was a big break-through for me - a very good experience where I can mingle with many new faces and here, I need to mention - Vivian and Jessy in particular. They are simply terrific nice people. Apart from giving away balloons to kids, we got to do a bit of catwalk to promote certain Philips products like hair dryers and toasters during Happy Hours. But what I love most was, the hairdo by Chezz Technique team where we need to do a catwalk to model our new "look", which I dare to say - received a lot of praises from the crowd.

To be able to be part of the Roving Team as the Brand Ambassador for Philips was kinda cool. We got to travel in BMW Sports from mall to mall telling people from all walks of life about the new expo - My Philips, My life, hoping they will pay a visit there.

Thanks to my many facebook friends who "voted" for me to be the Philips Brand Ambassador after being pre-selected by them. The response was overwhelming, getting most number of likes was kinda unexpected :)

Working for Philips, was the best choice I made. Very good pay! Teehee.

I may not be a true shopaholic, the one who has clothes and bags all stacked up in her wardrobe but I have this need, this desire to purchase something, anything, the moment I hit the mall.

I confess, I simply love shopping - truly, madly, deeply. It felt good to go on a shopping spree, able to splurge on things you like, provided of course you've the extra cash.

Recently, I confess, I'm just shoe-crazy, regardless of heels or flats or even sandals. Just last Saturday, I'd a quick stop at Paul Frank Store to buy my latest addiction - 'flip-flops' and ended up buying not one but two pairs of flip-flops, crazy, right? And now, you're probably wondering why am I staring at them. I can't decide which pair to keep for myself, which do you think - the hearts or the floral pair? Help me to decide :) Cause I might be giving another one to my little sister. See how kind I am :D

It was a mad, mad rush. Waking up one hour earlier than norm, with no time for make-up and then sped off to Pavilion to watch the premier charity movie show - The Prince of Persia. Thanks to Rtn. Jeffery Yap for the 4 tickets which worth 200 bucks, each! :O

Killing two birds with one stone wasn't easy. The show was awesome but didn't get to watch the ending, had to rush to Bangsar - One Bangsar Restaurant to be exact to attend a relative's wedding. Missed the wedding service conducted by the pastor. Had to take a pic of the marriage covenant as a memento. But I was not late for the eating session. teehee. It was buffet style and it isn't cheap, 70 bucks per pax, I was told.

I told myself again and again, I'm not gonna take any picture without any decent make-up and those puffy eyes but when relatives insisted, I can't say no right? Plus I love taking pictures :( So ended up, I took a few and surprisingly I looked fine :D

After my last paper, business studies, I really wanted to go for a holiday. Somewhere to unwind, to shop, eat, sunbathe, swim and yeaaaah, to watch sun-sets. A beach vacation would be a perfect getaway and CJH got the hint :)

He wanted to give me a surprise so he planned this "surprise" vacation all by himself. I didn't have to worry a single thing, like where to stay, what to eat. A stress-free vacation, how nice. All I have to do is, get my ass there! :D

What was meant to be a surprise was no longer a surprise because this nice guy asked consent from my conservative mom. It wasn't easy to get permission from my mom at all, but still, we made it. Yay!

Life is more beautiful with a beach view, agree? After taking the ferry from lumut, we waited at the pier for the van to link us to the resort. The view is so breathtaking, simply beautiful in simple words but it's so isolated! With no transport of our own, we stayed (another meaning-stuck!) at the resort grounds almost 24/7. lol. Luckily, I have good companions :)

Dear sister and I

As I mentioned earlier, we stayed at the resort 24/7, have to take all meals at the resort. So imagine, breakfast + lunch + dinner = BOMB! I feel really guilty now as I type :(

Well, Pangkor Beach Resort has it's own private beach so we could have the wide, empty beach to ourselves. Good facilities they have! We even rented bikes to cycle around.

I'm sure you realize what I realize. I've deserted my blog far toooo long! But that doesn't mean I will stop blogging. As we grow older, I guess we will never be the same, we changed. We tend to filter our thoughts before we write. Still, memories remain memories, I treasure all the precious moments I've had, through the phases of my life. Ahhh, cut the crap. LOL.

In the last 50 days, many things happened. Life is good (as always :P) I'm happy that I passed all my papers last semester, including statistics. For those who don't know me well, I suck in CALCULATION! :( In my foundation years, I discovered some true friends. I watched the sun-sets in Pangkor, which I may or MAY NOT blog later. teeheee.

To revive my blog. let me start by blogging about my brother, baby Jason's birthday. A lucky boy he is, he celebrated his birthday, not twice but thrice. The first was when CJH fulfilled his wish by buying him an ice-cream cake (on the eve of his bday).

Not only that, this lucky boy had his share of Secret Recipe with Jo and JT on his actual birthday which was on a Monday. Look at him, awww!*melts*

The climax was at Jaya Palace, PJ where we'd brunch with some close relatives and where we enjoyed food to the MAX. Dim sum, pork ribs, butter prawns, bday noodles, and their signature duck! Awesome but still can't beat Beijing Duck :( I could not really take good picture of the food because the moment the food was served, all eyes were on it and the boys especially, always ready with the chop-sticks! Argh, nah just kidding. It was me. I was really hungry :P only managed to snap this,

Well, I really have to admit, the food here was really superbly awesome! We were so full, we even skipped dinner that night. Imagineee!

A weekend in Gopeng.

Well, incredibly true, it took me a month to update my blog. A lot of things happened - my life seemed stuck in limbo. But anyhow, I choose not to reveal too much here, some things are better left unsaid, especially personal stuffs.

Let me share with you my Leadership Camp in Gopeng, a town seemingly remote to a city girl.
Tired...yes but sad...no, I'd fun. It was an awesome weekend, a long tiring one. Clearly exhausted after the two-nights stay.

We were all transported to the camp in a lorry, all crammed into it, looking like refugees. So pathetic... Somehow expected some kind of nomadic life here, after all this place is no Heaven, the name itself Nomad Adventure Earth Camp justified. Came here without expecting a 2-star hotel or back-packer hostel standard but not to this extreme- NO bunk beds, NO double-decker bed.NO mattress,even. What kind of dorm is it? Instead, we spent the nite sleeping on canvas beds, with little space for me to toss and turn.

No complaints about the food.

These mobile loos in the open may look freaking but they're terribly useful. Zoom closer to look at the words - Welcome to the ship shape shacks for showering, shaving and shitting.

Participated in many outdoor activities . Proved that I was 100% physically fit except for a few bruises and scratches here and there. No fear of height, no fear of water or whatsoever phobia. To explore the dark caves after a shitty night was tiring, agree?

A Storming CNY Open House

Expected it to drizzle for a short spell but the sky continued to pour. Everything was thrown into disarray. Can't imagine CNY without Lion Dance, so rain or shine, the show must go on... although delayed for 2 hours.

Late guests who were caught in the down pour had to park their cars far. They were greeted by colorful umbrellas. Help needed to direct traffic. These poor guys were drenched to the skin.

The moment the lion dance started. My vision became blur. The smoky atmosphere at the porch caused by the loud, deafening fire crackers to 'ward off' evil, I was told.

The San Francisco Steakhouse did a pretty job, food was gooood. Mostly fried stuffs, sushi. Due to the rain, waiters were serving us with their pants rolled up and wet uniforms.
The soil was very wet and muddy.Puddles of water everywhere. Ladies in killer heels- stilettoes were having problem with their heels and showing their 'beh song' face. I was smart, i wore uncle's Crocs to cross over to the tent on the other side for food. That stormy nite, the hot curry mee was everyone's favorite while the umbrellas were most important, most LAKU.

That night, gaming continued as usual, some stayed awake to watch a movie.
Look at us, so sleepy yet so engrossed in the movie.

Another awesome, awesome day ! A KL-Lite or Urbanite I am - I never, never have a chance to experience the Balik Kampung spirit. Miss the thrill of it.

Let's face the facts, more Bai Niens mean more angpaos, right? We all love Angpaos but fancy receiving vouchers, too. A double combo, haha.

To woo us... we received vouchers to shop at OU nearby. Tell me, which girl doesnt love shopping with free vouchers? So, off we went on a shopping spree with angpaos and vouchers, happily.

Valentine's Day aside, we ushered in the of the Tiger with Yee Sang as a starter for the rousing Reunion Dinner on CNY's eve.

CNY 1st Day;
Attended a church service. It was a breeze travelling all the way to Kajang. Here, met many relatives, close and distant, hoping to get more angpaos. Freaking excited to see them and it's a tradition to take family pictures together, all in shades of red.

Angpao is only half the fun. Gambling is the other half. With temperature soaring outside, we stayed indoors, mostly to gamble, what else? I admit, I'm hooked on gambling. You can just see from my serious face, deep in thought - to bet or not to. lmao

The Rise of the Noble House

To be able to dine here is indeed noble. The Chinese Cuisine here is superb but pricey, of course. But we'd privacy, our own private room for a private function - to celebrate my uncle's birthday.

We occupied 2 tables, as usual the adults with liquor served and the kids (I'm still belong here) another table. But is okay, I still had red wine :)

My first bite of the 150 bucks abalone was heavenly but honestly if I've to pay, I wouldn't part with that sum, of course.

Our cycling expedition in Bukit Cahaya, Shah Alam aka Tmn Pertanian was a success.

Well, to cycle on a public holiday and at noon was something unforgiving - it was so terribly HOT and we waited one solid hour (maybe less) for the rental of bikes.

Many trees around but still, those trees did not provide us enough shade. The land was quite barren at certain stretch . We cycled uphill and downhill only to stop at places that worth taking some pictures, and to rest our tired feet, muscles ached.

After that, we were now at a place, so cold, with temperature dipping below 0 celsius. We can't stay long, freezing like mad inside. Managed to take some pictures of the icy structures that look so fake! lol.

2% Deal

The latest happening in Pavilion - the 2nd Anniversary Celebration.

Yay!

Before the lucky dip for the great 2% deal, we were entertained by Dennis Lau, the famous violinist and witnessed a cake-cutting ceremony then followed by speeches and blablah. Yeah, we just have to pay 2% of the retail price of the prize we win. Need to spend RM20 in a single receipt to qualify so here's my excuse to shop.

Went into few shops, couldn't find the right item to purchase so headed over to MNG. Ahaa, spotted one that I like (and it's quite affordable)!

After everything, all 4 of us queued up for the lucky dip, only ME who did not win any 2% deal, not even cash vouchers which my sisters won. I was so not lucky that day :( On a brighter note, my lucky mommy won a Ladies Bag from Jaspal, retail price at RM209 and the 2% deal, only RM4 (that's what my mom paid) Well, my mom was actually eying for the Longchamp Sling Bag, RM2650 because Jaspal is definitely not her cup of tea.

Frustration is when everyone in the car won something and you were the only one who went home disappointed with the Anniversary Bag and yeah, a ~~sweet~~ cupcake. The moment I reached home, I received a text from Karena the bff that she was there too and she won a dining voucher from C.Club. She said she's gonna take me out for a romantic candle light dinner one day in C.Club, right? She's really awesome lah! :)

Turning 7 is no big deal for kids but not for Nick. Kids are different nowadays. He asked me to guess his birthday cake. And I was guessing its gonna be a birthday cake of Mickey or other Disney characters like Winnie the Pooh, etc. But surprisingly, it was a Wall-E layered jelly cake, instead. I almost forgot, Nick is not so into Disney, actually. He's rather a BIG FAN of Starwars. He's so proud of his StarWars lego collection and also his birthday gift from his dad - STARWARS Movie costume pack. I like this picture - Nick and his Galactic team. HAHA!

It's Pavilion again to meet Karena. This time I'd an appointment at Color Bar a nail salon with stylish decor in a luxurious setting. Seated comfortably in an over-sized arm chair, pampered like a princess (awwww), looking every inch like a tai-tai :) more like a spoil brat actually, I'd my nails colored by the manicurist in a breeze, very pro lah her and with so many colors to choose from (just look at the color chart on the wall)

more than you can imagine actually. how to choose? :(

I settled for Magenta - purplish red, don't ask me why this weird color. LMAO. So happen it matched with my plum Charles and Keith bag and the blouse that I was wearing. Hopefully these beautifully manicured nails will deter me from biting them (yes, I bite my nails sometimes)

Happy with the job done, truly a good experience that exceed my expectation :)

All abuzz over toilet concept restaurant

Restaurants are getting bolder and trendier nowadays. Imagine sitting on toilet bowls for food to be served (damn chun lor, wtf) Dinning here will be a taboo for the older generations or the senior citizens. I swear I will never, never bring my granny here, which makes me regret - I should have followed her to Hakka Restaurant for dinner with uncle instead.

This place, the toilet concept restaurant, smacked right in Sg Wang is certainly not for people who feel sick by the unpleasant sight of toilets. Have a closer look at the cutlery and tableware used to serve the patrons. Definitely not Noritake china. After reading the menu from top to bottom, flipping through the pages many, many times I still have this puzzled-look, wondering what to order. We ended up ordering some very simple and light food, more for tea-break. Perhaps no appetite to eat :/

There's nothing quite like doing domestic work a day after New Year. Instead of hitting the mall on saturday, we were doing something different - spring cleaning. Nope, not exactly, we were actually helping Uncle SzeTho to clean his new house in Tropicana Indah before they move in.

Clearly no regret because later we got to dine at Room Eighteen @ Tropicana City Mall which is known for serving fine cantonese cuisine. A bit weird because for the very first time entering a restaurant wearing something so casual - my interact T-shirt and sandals & with no make-up at all (wtf) just like the typical part-time cleaner look! Well, the must have here is the roasted crispy pork (siew yok) if you don't know. Also the steamed cheong fun with char kiu (I LOVE FOOD SO MUCH!) Anyway, dining here isn't cheap but really worth trying! :)

BLUE Christmas

I simply love this picture. Everyone is happy! :)

Well, Christmas is always associated with the colors white, silver or even green but never BLUE, never, but surprise - BLUE is the theme for this year Christmas gathering, our family tradition, our moments of togetherness where we'd a night of fun - prayers, food & wine, karaoke, and of course the best part - exchanging gifts! As you can see from the pictures that I uploaded, all big presents are for kids whereas me (above 18, not so old lah) our presents are so, so freaking small! But as we all know all good things or BIG surprises come in small packages. Seeee, now Jo and I can clear our make-up stash for new stuffs from DIOR, cosmetics and parfum. Isn't it awesome? :)

The wait is over!

The wait is over. Karena is back! And being such a dear friend, she met up with me the day after her plane from KK touched Sepang. Of course, we went shopping like usual :) Our Sabah girl wanted to get "affordable" dresses so I took her to Cotton On. I tried to stop myself for spending but still FAILED :(

The big crowd at Pavilion almost frightened us away, we couldn't find a decent place to take pictures. Instead of taking pictures with Santa Claus (which I don't know where's him), we found ourselves taking pics with Xmas tree (wtf!)

Not only that we found ourselves talking to trees wired up with lights and bulbs, too. Nice one

Of all places, we found solace here away from the maddening crowd - Starhills and also the Restroom where we "camwhored" to the max. Obviously, I won't upload those pictures because I've tons of em'. hahaha.

My much anticipated 18th birthday celebration was, I admit abit low-key, did not start or end with a loud bang or blast, as expected by many, I kept to the tradition of celebrating my bday with my family at WongKok (Pavilion again :D) Drinking iced tea from the big, big jug and eating my fave hot baked cheese rice on that rainy evening satisfied me, surprisingly :) I guess, what's important is being surrounded by the warmth of your loved ones.

It took us by surprise that on our way home, we saw the parade of the World Marching Bands along Jalan Bkt Bintang. The drizzle did not dampen my spirits. When you'd fireworks on your bday, what more can you wish for?

Hoping to see CHS band in action because we thought we spotted the band from far but nope, it was some other band wearing almost the same uniform :(

First Day of My Birthday

Before I start my birthday post, I would like to thank all my friends and loved ones from near and far (the nearest of course, my roommate, Jo) who send birthday greetings via Facebook, e-mails and also sms, some hours in advance and some hours late, but as Wygene put it, its the thought that counts. The one right on the spot, sharp mid-night were none other than, the Ks' - Karena and also Kevin :) Those who chose to call, THANK YOU too! Very surprise to hear from friends you least expect to, & special thanks to pals for presents that match my whims and fancies such as my fave color, the right heels, the right shade of make-up, vain, right?

Special thanks to Kevin too for knowing that it's my birthday wish to dine in Jogoya. The Japanese buffet here needs no introduction - fantastic good! The only let-down is no photos are allowed. I chose a few deserted spots to snap a few personal pics but it was a total contrast to the actual scenario, this place was sooooo crowded! Malaysians, you know lah, very freaking KIASU, not many care to camwhore as all eyes were on the food.

What was supposed to have been a surprise party was not a surprise as I sensed something was amiss. All the hush hush but I'd really no idea where they hid the Secret Recipe cake. The cake had to travel so many miles here and by the time, it'd almost melted and the shape was ......

It was an outing for my HELP friends, only HELP students to Kuala Selangor, to Sun's home-town, to eat seafood and to watch sunset and and and also to see Kelip-Kelip aka fire-flies :) Kevin was there too with us. The reason why we invited him is because, he was an ex-student from HELP, omg our senior! *respect* ;D

Sorry, I know I have been MIA since the 25th of November. Finals just over. Hurraay! And its December, my fave month of all. Well, I'm pretty busy but still I still managed to shop. As you see from the picture above, I'm standing infront of Comyns at BCS, shoppinggggg! ;D not really lah, it was actually a private Xmas party to launch Comyns new collection and very fortunate that I'm in the guest list :)

Light dinner was served. Not only that, I had my short nails painted pink by a manicurist from Kitsu Salon. I have really shooooooort fingers as a fact but the truth is, I actually have short nails too! hahaha. All thanks to myself, I've this bad habit of bitting my nails whenever I'm nervous! oooops :S

Before I start, let's make things clear. Looking at my megawatt smile in my previous post, you know ... I've fun in college and I'm really in a very good mood nowadays :)

Call us pious but we're back for another charity night. Yes! This is the Six Million Dollar Night that stars Father Simon and Father Valentine on stage, as singers, rendering oldies, "The Young Ones" and "Smile".
This is the night the parishes of St Thomas More and St Francis Assisi put on a united front, to raise funds for the church building.

A 8-course dinner, awesome huh! but ewkss, the Patin-O-Patin fish is half cooked. rofl. I can't believe Sunway Resort Hotel actually served RAW fish, with blood.

Talking about LUCKY DRAWS - so near yet so far. With 20 tickets/numbers with us, SAD, DEPRESSED that we didn't win any prizes and our tables are so so near to the lucky draw table, a good view of the good prizes like a Plasma TV and Nikon cameras. ALL GONE! Not forgetting, 3 days 2 nights trip to Redang.

Oh and also a flower Jewellery set from Elegance Club made of Semi-precious stones and white gold was auctioned off for RM28,000. A calligraphy piece, "Fook" known as luck in English hand-written by Pn Sri Chelsia Cheng was sold for RM5,500. The winning bidder of course, none other than, Uncle Sze-Tho! :)

My mom camera skills did NOT improve but I bet you still can see the word "Fook" kan?

Lastly, a musical performance by a quartet from Down Under, The Idea of North. What a unique name huh. Don't know who are they? They're a band that they actually use their voices as their instruments. Don't get it? hahaha. You go google! :D

Its FAB to let life flows but I need some forward planning, seriously. I'm kinda sick of my assignments especially group projects. My worse nightmare is not over yet, my 2nd sem exams are due soon, the last paper is a day before my big day in december, so how to plan? :(

Recently, I'm feeling low, my spirits are going down as fast as the sinking of Titanic. Buuutt, the boys who never fail to capture my heart are none other than Jason and Max. As I was passing by the Centre Court of Pavilion, I was attracted by a fantastic crowd, young and old, viewing an Exhibitionist Collection. On closer peek, I can't deny, its no ordinary display - the dolls are all dressed in miniature stylish outfits designed by fashion students from colleges such as Raffles and Lim Kok Wing. They're to design a miniature outfit inspired by the Fashion Week (M-IFW) for the skin of Maxis Blackberry Curve 8520 or iPhone 3Gs. I was deeply inspired by these young rising designers, their flair for fashion.

Well, everyone has bed-time stories to share. These dazzling dolls bring back fond memories of my love for Barbie when I was a little girl. I got my mom to buy me my first Barbie at seven and attended my first event - the Barbie Birthday Bash winning 3rd prize for the Look-Alike contest. The prizes I won, those Barbie dolls, some limited edition, I still treasure them til today. *I will take a picture of em' one day to show you guys!*

Can't believe, 10 years and I still keep the newspaper cutting from the STAR about the event, damn proud ;D the best part was I got to appear on NTV7 for an interview before the preview of the show "The Nutcracker".

Daddy's big day!

Sorry for the late update. Been really busy, tons of assignments, presentations and also my worse nightmare - midterm exams. Maintaining 2 blogs isn't easy, do you know I've a blog for my Human Communication and I need to update posts whenever possible and feasible.

Had not been a lucky week for me. Only after driving for 2 months or less. (I mean, serious driving on the highways, from Help back to my house) I'd my first experience of a car puncture. Had to drive to the workshop to have the tyre changed. Driving schools never teach us how to avoid sharp nails, big stones, pot-holes, so do be careful plu-leassee. It will make a dent in your pocket, seriously :(

On a brighter side, celebrated my dad's birthday on the 20th of Oct. HAHA! againnnn, at Wongkok, Pavilion :) I guess all the members of my family somehow had their bday celebrations there, its a TRADITION, I guess and if I am to celebrate mine too (hint:december), it will definitely be a record-breaking feat! Oh, and I thought my mom is camera-shy, my dad is even worse, so sorry, no pictures of the birthday "boy". Luckily, they have children who simply love to camwhore. pffft!

Fashion on the Turf

A very exciting Sunday for Jo and I at the Sungai Besi racecourse, a short 10-min drive from my place. Watching live races from the air cond. Enclosure, near the VIP grandstand was fun! What's more, it was Selangor Turf Club Ladies' Day. A fashion outing for ladies who came dressed in stylish outfits topped by colorful hats. For us, it was an afternoon of good food, hot fashion, jockeys and horses :)

We'd a good, good view, couldn't ask for more. The crowd went wild with cheers and applause for the horses they bet. All eyes were on the main draw - the RM250,000 Astro Wah Lai Toi Vase. With horsy names like "Happy Victory", "Mighty Triple Ace" and "Blessed with Speed". Even first-timers like us made no mistake in the Forecast. We selected the right horses to finish FIRST & THIRD but toooo bad, we didn't bet. We christians okay? Kthx!

A fashion show by the super-thin lanky models, modeling the latest style from SEED, cool and trendy I can say :) First time attending an event hosted by a Cantonese-speaking emcee. The part i love most is standing next to the not-so-tall and not-so-good-looking jockey on the turf to have my picture taken. Oh gosh, before I end, its the horses I miss, not the Jockeys :S

Walk for World Pink

For once, I'd the passion to run, I mean to WALK in support of Breast Cancer Awareness, so I signed up for the "Walk For World PINK" weeks ago. But it didn't turn up the way, I expected.

First, there was a terrible traffic jam all the roads leading to KL Tower were so, so jammed! Partly also due to a Mid-Autumn concert at Sg. Wang.The moment we reached the car-park. we sensed something terribly wrong when we saw runners already streaming downhill and we haven't even collected our pink tee from the booth although we were all ready in our sneakers. Jo, proudly wearing her new pair of so-called ADIDAS from China. *cough*

After a long dicussion with my sister Joanne, we decided to go uphill. NO-NO, we didn't walk up lah of course. We took the shuttle bus up to KL Tower. A sight to behold when we reached the peak- the Pink tents, PINK PINK roses, PINK PINK everywhere, here and there. We collected our tee, only left with M, then the goody bags- some Origin stuffs and had a Pink ribbon painted on my right arm.

We were literally staring at the sky. at the KL Tower for many, many minutes waiting for it to "light-up". Sadly, we couldn't wait until 8pm so we missed that. ARGHH! We only saw the illuminated KL Tower in the car on our way home to celebrate the Tanglung festival.

And damn, we missed the lucky draw too. LMFAO! Seriously, I should have waited lah! Who knows I might win something, right? :D

A Breezy Affair

Caridee and I had a breezy affair at the Gardens in OU. Barely able to contain our excitement of meeting each other, we decided to have tea here after "hours" of shopping. *coughs* Caridee isn't any ordinary teenage girl. I find her confident and cheerful for her age. The ambience was cool with pots of flowers around us, we really liked the setting, the "garden" feel ;)

The cakes, so many flavors to choose from. It's heartbreak to choose just ONE okay, and I really couldn't decide so ended up Miss Caridee bought all, I mean almost ALL flavors.

After the meet, I admit, we are even closer than before, right babe? ;D

On the 1st day of Hari Raya, we were really in Raya mood, I tell you. Kevin came early and decided to drive us to PutraJaya. But the roads leading to PutraJaya were vitually deserted during Hari Raya, it's good to polish your driving skills here, I guess.

At the PM's residence, believe me- think twice before you attend any OPEN HOUSE, there were rows and rows of people queuing up to enter or rather to wait for PM Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak to shake hands and some bodyguards were given the task of distributing Duit Raya and Jason, only JASON was eligible, received rm2. OKAY LAH :S

Not content with Oriental Pavilion, grandma celebrated her Birthday again. this time only with her grandchildren at WongKok, Pavilion on her actual day :) why Wongkok, again? because my awesome granny loves the panaroma of KL skyline especially the Twin Tower.

No matter whose birthday we always find an excuse to drink the iced milk tea from the special JUG. this time cause of H1N1 and Jackie has been coughing like MAD, we decided to drink from individual glasses instead and as usual I'd to serve - being 2nd oldest here.

ONE BIG FAMILY

My grandma, who looks forever young and never once frumpy, celebrated her Birthday Bash first in Oriental Pavilion @ Jaya 33. Nobody would have guessed her age, she has turned 72, now!

It was a Sunday, a church day so we'd to wait for all to come after service. so, so hungry when we saw the trolleys of Dim Sum but grandma instructed, MUST WAIT! pfft!

The last to arrive, as usual, Uncle Leong and Auntie Cynthia who came with the Triramisu Cake plus Max. Oriental serves very very nice Dim Sum and the choices are plenty and don't forget to try the smooth congee :)

Fall in Beijing (Part 5)

Can I say I love Beijing one more time before I move on to TianJin? yeah, TianJin, where I spent my last night in China before flying home. Before I left Beijing, still fresh in my mind - The Temple of Heaven and the palace of a very, very corrupted palace official @ "kun" who built his residence, a replica of the Imperial Palace and for this, he was beheaded! so awful, right? but I guess he deserved it. the beautiful palace grounds are worth a visit :)

The highlight of our fourth day was to visit the mind-blowing Beijing Stadium or the BIRD'S NEST stadium, they called it ;) remember the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympic? we're here now to have a "feel" of it! BRILLIANT architecture, I must say. I myself find it magnificent since we paid so much for the tickets to ENTER, we sat there for awhile, pretending to be "spectators".

Fall in Beijing (Part 3)

Yeah, very excited! it's gonna be amazing, we're gonna climb the Great Wall of China. as the saying goes, "He who does not reach the great wall is not a true man." pfft!

That morning, we travelled 60kms to Badaling. damn far right? :/ as you all know, to climb the Great Wall was no easy feat - it was truly a uphill battle. we were kinda energetic at first but barely had I reached one tower on a cliff, I was so so dead tired. poor Jo was forever huffing and puffing to keep up with us, not surprise, she zonked-out half-way. whoops! so sorry sis :P

On the same day, we visited the Ming Tombs, the burial grounds or final resting place for the High&Mighty, I mean those Emperors. to walk the distance just to view those underground tombs was a TORTURE and the feeling was EERIE!

We went to a massage center where they claimed they were the masseurs for the Olympics athletes during Beijing Games.

For the night, we had a satisfying dinner at YUXIANG KITCHEN, a very classy and ritzy restaurant in uptown Beijing, specializing in SZECHUAN food - I miss hot and spicy food, alot. and I still had "duck" for the day but cooked SzeChuan style which reminds me I have duck almost every meal in Beijing. HAHA!

Our first night at Traders Hotel was so cosy that my sister Joanne and I were the last to wake up for breakfast the next morning. *grins*

The itinerary for the 2nd day was to visit the Forbidden City. for ground arrangement, we chartered our own tour bus and two tour guides for the 22 of us - really BIIIG family right? ;D

To visit Forbidden City on this day was untimely-crowded with people, tourists and their own countrymen. why? cause it coincides with their 60th Anniversary preparations, the end of summer break and also Chinese Valentine's Day.

Forbidden City is AWESOME! the walls and doors are mostly painted red. but the word Forbidden sounds AWWful, don't you think so? it's good to have a glimpse of the Emperor&Empress and concubines staying in these majestic palaces having such a lavish life-style. but staying there, for life is a NONO for me :) no freedom or whatsoever! who can even stand this?

Beijing is soooo beautiful! to fall in love with Beijing is soooo easy - the picturesque scenery, the clear blue skies, the historic palaces&monuments, the willow trees, the freshly steamed "baozhe", the Peking Duck and the friendly Beijingers! :)

Alright, fyi, I've so much to share about my 1week trip to Beijing but I guess I need to have few posts, because of the overlimit pictures :/

Air Asia has a history of delayed flights so it's no surprise we'd to wait 3hours for a midnight flight to TianJin. from there, we travelled on a bullet train (speed of 300km/hr) to Beijing.

We were so exhausted after the 6-hour flight but the sight of Traders Hotel made us happy. YAY!

A nice four-star hotel managed by Shangri-La, a place I gonna stay for four nights.

Somemore the conditioners and shampoo damn nice! ;D

Beijing city is so huge I tell you! a city full of contrasts. the modern highways and narrow alleys, the old neighbourhoods or hutong is a contrast to the skyscrapers in some parts of modern Beijing. and of course! Beijing is a really good place for shopaholics. how lucky I am, there's a shopping mall underground - below the hotel I'm staying :P

Our first dinner was at this famous ROAST DUCK RESTAURANT frequented by movie stars and politicians. this restaurant may be located in a hutong alley but the prices are very expensive! here, you can order whatever dishes related to D-U-C-K from tongue to intestines. YERR,EWKS!

So duck lovers, you know where to dine now :P no wonder after eating, we all quacked and walked like ducks. LMFAO!

It was late, we were about to head back home when I heard the DJ, loud but not so clear, "Do you wanna win yourself a SONY.... I rushed up to register ignoring the yells of Jason, "I WANNA GO HOME!" thinking the prize was a sony ericsson handphone cause my red SE phone had just KOOONNGG-OUT & I needed a new phone so badly. after listening to the rules, then only I realised the catch prize was not a phone but a SONY CYBERSHOT CAMERA. to withdraw now was a NO-NO. I was like, aww okay then, camera also GO FOR IT LAH! I stayed on as one of the 6 contestants but I need to be the winner in this round and also beat the record 90 smiles/shots to win.

In this "Capture the Smiles" contest, all I've to do is SIMPLE or sounds SIMPLE I need to capture as many people smiling in 15 minutes. I remembered dashing round the concourse asking people to smile for me. LOL. that was so embarrassing yet fun I tell you :) luckily only few were camera-shy. when I reached home at 10pm, I received a sms on my old, vintage Nokia phone (OLD but LUCKY!) *message shown as above* not only that, I received a call from the person in charge, too. so yeah, definitely it's not a prank sms :P

See, I'm the proud winner of the Smiles Contest for saturday with 107 smiles/shots captured! a Japanese rep from SONY presented the prize to me. WOHOOO! the latest SONY CYBERSHOT W series. mind you, it's silver, a change from the PINK SONY T ALBUM series I already owned. now I can't wait to bring it to Beijing tonight to snap, snap & snap! :)

I was dragged to REDBOX for Karaoke by Kevin with the promise I'm gonna meet some real nice friends. it was actually a reunion of some sort with his high school friends. Karaoke, meaning an "empty orchestra" in Japanese can be really fun if you're with a bunch of people who can really SING, sing out really LOUD, that's what we did :)

Didn't know they're so many good, talented singers around. ROFL. I can forsee another round of Karaoke coming up pretty soon, riigghhtt? this time count me in! we really had fun! x

Semester break started and I'm still not that happy, still worrying about something, results I guess? :/ well, I spent one fine day meeting up with a friend from UCTI. I doubt anything would have changed, buuut, no. Xin Hui's still the same and it's super easy to like her, typical of her to be punctual at my place and we drove to IslandRedCelebrityCafe for something "light" and "colorful". Instead of tittle-tattle about other people and their lives, we talked more about college, how sucky and at the same time fun can be.

Would you believe - I almost ended up in UCTI cause it's the nearest college from my house. Not only that, UCTI has won the award of "BEST New University". I have been there not twice but thrice and I really have no idea why I'd chosen HELP instead :/

Anyway, I'm happy, happier than before, after meeting her. It's really gooood to keep up with friends :)

She's such a sweetheart, she doesn't mind taking so many pics of me over and over again. And her photography skills are as good as her IT!

It's been a while since I last blogged. I'd just finished my first semester exams. the funny thing instead of feeling happy, I feel empty. after eliminating so many colleges & courses, I feel that I'm in the wrong place, doing the wrong course and taking subjects that I simply dislike :(
Sometimes, all we need is someone you can turn to when you feel lost or alone, someone to remind us to keep on trying and clinging on to the little hope we have.

Talking about friendship. I really have a great friend Zeeyin. a week or so ago, I attended her house warming. didn't really take picture with everyone of them because we were playing mafia all night long :)

This morning was my first presentation for the subject, Intermediate English. the night before I spent hours doing my powerpoint and deciding what to wear cause you kno lah, I'm fussy brat ;D

I was frantically searching for a suitable title for my presentation when my english lecturer, don't kno why, suddenly suggested why not you present something about, "make-up"? instead of those usual stuffs that normally students will present like "how to prepare green tea". so yeah, I did something I like to talk about. personally to me, make-up is applied to "re-invent" oneself, not so much to cover our flaws but rather to enhance one's beauty, right? was pretty nervous at first but relieved, so so relieved that it was now over! thank God ;)

Hennessy Artistry is, to me, the most anticipated event, not to be missed like duhh! :D my first taste of HA was when Caprice and Starz Angels performed at TheLoft. the mugshot of Jamie and I in the July issue of JUICE was a real surprise! didn't know it until a college friend of mine told me. lolol.

Last saturday, attended the Hennessy Artistry finale, knowing it's gonna be a boom! this time it was held @ Bukit Kiara Indoor Arena, a different experience but it was still AWESOOOOME! thank you so much for the invites Stanley!

The crowd was BIG! I mean, really biggg. missed many friends but oh gosh, call it LUCK. I actually bumped into my uncle and my aunt, the VVIPs. they actually sponsored some of the Hennessy V.S.O.P for this event (: they gave us two vvip invites, had our wristbands changed from S to P, red to GOLD! hahaha. damn syok @ the VVIP stand, free flow of Hennessy and you can order your own drinks and cocktails! YAY! :D and of course, from the VVIP stand, you got a better view of the DJs and stars on stage where I'd a live recording of Fatman Scoop ;P

Alright, I better stop here. I have class at 2! which is 10 mins from now. fyi, I actually brought my camera and cable to my college to upload pictures and blog. boo, bye my dear readers! :(

I just got back from Gleneagles Medical Centre not long ago and surprisingly, I did not go out with friends today. Instead I waited the whole morning for my uncle to pick my granny and I up. Was so happy to see my new born cousin but didn't really get a good pic of this 1-day-old-baby-boy cause he was asleep :(

Later, we went over to Great Eastern - which is just opposite Gleneagles for tea. chose Alexis over Starbucks. Uncle was beaming with joy and my popo was so super-excited, now she has 9 grandchildren! Yay!

Being girls, all of us love make-up & it's every girls' dream to look pretty, agree? (:

Damn pretty excited to see tons of make-up on the dressing table - lipsticks, blushers, eye-shadows in various shades and colors for us to try on, to play with... with the aim of looking pretty and radiant! that's why we're here for, right?

We'd a girl's day out @ The Apartment Downtown, KLCC learning some YSL beauty secrets from the make-up experts. the quick make-up technique will come useful before we rush for college each morning *winks*

Lucky me, I walked away with a prize from a lucky draw, thanks to the number 14, MY BIRTH DATE! ;D oh fyi, I got a luxury lipstick in a "gold" casing!

To spice up our lives that evening, we tried something different, something more EXOTIC from the middle-east. YAY! turkish food @ BOSPHORUS, Pavilion KL. you won't go wrong if you order kebabs from a turkish restaurant I guess (: we ordered lots of kebabs - chicken&lamb and also their signature dish - BOSPHORUS King Prawns. the rest, the names sound so "turkish-ish", so we settled for shepherd's salad, not really a good choice cause too many cucumbers and olives. I don't like olives :/ but still, BOSPHORUS - a very great place to dine, with a "live-band" playing, life is blissful after all.

A Birthday Celebra-thon!

Lucky guy, Kevin - he celebrated his birthday three times within 24 hours with ME! we went on a makan spree and it was indeed a fun-tastic weekend, a truly memorable one! (:

The night before his BIG day, we headed to Teluk Gong, somewhere near Port Klang to have seafood. the next morning, we attended Cheer09 at Putra Indoor Stadium, Bukit Jalil. the timing was not correct, we didn't manage to see Calyx in action because we were in hurry for hi-tea. but very unexpected, I bumped into Zeeyin & her sweetheart before I left :P

Poor birthday boy drove all way to Eastin Hotel, PJ for buffet hi-tea instead of me driving him. lolol. Swez Brasserie - a very nice dining place, with a warm atmosphere & not forgetting the food - a variety to choose from of course! oh, I can tell you guys. I simply love the asam laksa! It was so damn awesome till I finished all by myself, sorry birthday boy! (hehe) wooed by the assortment of tarts, too. we/I couldn't resist the temptation lah. the moment the birthday boy placed the tarts on the table, the tarts were gone. he didn't get his share, thanks to me :D omg, I can really eat I tell you -.-

But still no matter what age you are, its good to have a clown around on your birthday because we feel younger right, kevin? :P

We were really full after hi-tea so we decided to catch a movie. "his birthday, I chose the movie-ICEAGE3 BABEEHH!". lmao. for dinner, we headed to WongKok, Pavilion. hoping to have something light but still, we had to order 30ringgit of food in order to get that BIG jug of milk tea. instead of me pampering him, I guess he pampered me more. he even tapao "WKburger" for me to bring to college for the next day. thank you so much!

Showing up late for a function is something unforgiving, worse still if it's the wedding of someone close - my cousin ChunWai & the bride, ChoiHoong. Beijing Olympics, was like 9 months ago... and that's when and where they met (: we were late for half an hour. thought we won't be able to witness the exchanging of wedding bands & kissing the bride but we did! (wooot)

Dinner was @ "posh" restaurant, somwhere in Kajang. had jitters the whole night sitting next to my cousin, Jerry. fyi, he was supposed to undergo home quarantine & see what's he doing here? :/ his Sri Cempaka school was closed for 2 weeks cause of influenza H1N1 but okaylah, my cousin doesn't look like he's infected.

The best part was meeting all my MIA relatives from Taiwan. have not met Joel for 10 years or so. I thought he'll become the next JayChou but luckily he didn't disappoint me. he does look better than JayChou now, at least *grins* still has the looooooks right, JOEL?! hahaha.

I don't have to scroll through my camera to know that I've not blogged for ages. I'm blogging now about my mom's birthday, which happened er, 2 weeks ago? sigh. all thanks to my midterm exams that left me "stressed".

June 13th - My siblings, a diverse bunch didn't take too long to decide where to treat my mom on her bday. we just walked into wongkok @ Pavilion. my mom sort of agreed with us although we already had a family dinner the night before.

Anyway, I'm now rushing to attend a wedding dinner. I shall stop here. I promise I'll blog more after the dinner, I promise ;D
