Fall in Beijing (Part 3)

Yeah, very excited! it's gonna be amazing, we're gonna climb the Great Wall of China. as the saying goes, "He who does not reach the great wall is not a true man." pfft!

That morning, we travelled 60kms to Badaling. damn far right? :/ as you all know, to climb the Great Wall was no easy feat - it was truly a uphill battle. we were kinda energetic at first but barely had I reached one tower on a cliff, I was so so dead tired. poor Jo was forever huffing and puffing to keep up with us, not surprise, she zonked-out half-way. whoops! so sorry sis :P

Really excited, before climbing the Great Wall.

Can even snapped some pics with my dear cousin

As you all know, that day was really hot. add to that, the slope was very steep. those who trailed behind decided to join the kids such as, Jo. rofl.

Below are tons of pics of us - we couldn't be happier, look at the Great Wall overlooking the mountains and the vast land of China, truly one of the 7 wonders of the world! :)

We never give up climbing..

How I wish I'm up there.

Jo reached after 214351 years later,

Still, resting.

This is how I look when I'm really really tired.

Rejuvenated

On the same day, we visited the Ming Tombs, the burial grounds or final resting place for the High&Mighty, I mean those Emperors. to walk the distance just to view those underground tombs was a TORTURE and the feeling was EERIE!

The Ming Tombs;

P/s: very limited pics from the Ming tombs cause yeah, no pics allowed actually.

Went over to have a light lunch nearby after visiting Ming Tombs.

Big oriental vase.

Vases&vases everywhere.

Pro Jumper!

Terracotta warrior!

After hours of climbing and walking, my legs ached real bad. I almost cried in relief when my uncle suggested, "let's go for massage!"

We went to a massage center where they claimed they were the masseurs for the Olympics athletes during Beijing Games.

Being pampered!

All these pics are taken by Nicholas, a 7 year old kid.

Too young for a massage.

For the night, we had a satisfying dinner at YUXIANG KITCHEN, a very classy and ritzy restaurant in uptown Beijing, specializing in SZECHUAN food - I miss hot and spicy food, alot. and I still had "duck" for the day but cooked SzeChuan style which reminds me I have duck almost every meal in Beijing. HAHA!

Cheers to no assignments! :D

Nicholas again, as the photographer.
